The COVID-19 Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) test has the purpose of detecting the presence of genetic material (RNA) from the COVID-19 virus in the nasal or oral cavity. A sample is taken from the nose or throat using a swab.
Why is it important to you?
Many countries around the world now require a COVID-19 PCR test to be conducted within 72 hours of departure (from the country of origin into South Africa, as well as on return from South Africa – including transited airports). The COVID-19 status of your guest on departure is as important as on their arrival to prevent the possibility of being quarantined on the way home.
With your guests often departing directly out of Johannesburg after they have left your property, testing in Johannesburg is not a feasible or convenient option.
We have the solution!
We are now able to conduct on-site testing on our clients’ properties with one of our registered practitioners. Testing is conducted at Ampath Laboratories, one of South Africa’s leading testing facilities. On-site testing will enable the guest to remain at your lodge without having to forfeit an entire day for the purpose of obtaining the required documentation before departure.
